Thank you for visiting your Members Only page.

Due to Covid-19, we are finding that some families are having difficulties taking advantage of opportunities offered during formal training classes.

We have therefore decided to lend a helping hand to those of you raising your puppies on The Happy Puppy Training Kit™  in order to ensure you continue to build on the foundation you've established early on with the program.

We will have a 3 Part video series for you to view when puppies are:
  • 8 to 16 weeks of age (see below)
  • 16 weeks of age (will be released shortly)
  • during adolescence (will be released shortly)

Remember your wellbeing is important to all of us so do what you can within the limits that you are comfortable with during these trying times. We want everyone to be happy, healthy and safe.

Enjoy!
SEGMENT 1
INTENDED FOR PUPPIES 8 TO 16 WEEKS OF AGE

Video 1

This video  has been created to help you maximize the results of The Happy Puppy Training Kit™ .

Please view it before puppies arrive if possible!

Intended for puppies 8 to 16 weeks of age.

** Please follow your breeder's advice and refer to your contract regarding puppy vaccines and exposure to the great outdoors. Some breeders prefer puppy doesn't have too much exposure until after receiving all vaccines and others support exposure before then.  Should you have to wait to follow the instructions in Video 1, that's ok. Simply perfect exercises where there's little exposure and venture further afterwards. Also, refer to the Socializing sheet in your Kit.

Training Exercises - Pre-Adolescence
Here is a printable summary of the more advanced exercises described in Video 2 of this series.

While preparing the 2nd video in this series, Ben and I decided to pop outdoors to give you a visual of the following exercises:
- Luring to me
- Sit in front of me with hand cue on tummy
- Sit beside me
- Sit and Stay - reinforce stay with hand signal from distance
- Sit and Stay - asking for down from a distance with hand signal
- Circling behind him at the stay
- Watch me exercise
- Spin for fun
- Playtime
Here is a wonderful visual of how to engage puppy to explore something new with a positive outcome.

This puppy was new to this space and had been removed from his siblings and everything that was familiar to him.  He was new to me too and we had just spent about 7 minutes together up to that point.  There was no one else in the room.

Imagine the progress you will make with your puppy as your bond will be much stronger than ours in this video.
